Please join us on January 13, 2011 for our first APRA – Greater Houston offering for the new year:  “Incorporating Prospect Research Into Your Life”

Is your shop set up for success with data-driven fundraising? We now know that prospect research essential to a successful fundraising  How can we advance this work? This session is designed to help identify the elements of a well-designed research shop. It will also explore innovative and cost effective ways to incorporate research into day-to-day life, in particular for those who must manage more than one aspect of an organization’s complex fundraising needs. This informative and interactive session will answer – What is involved? What tools do I need? What size should my budget be? Most importantly, the session will address communicating the need for organizations to invest in prospect research today. Stay after the presentation for a Q&A panel with Michael and experienced local researchers.

Michael_Quevli Michael Quevli

Michael Quevli began his career in prospect research in 1996 at AIDS Project Los Angeles. He was at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California for seven years and was responsible for overseeing the Development Research team, prior to joining Target Analytics in 2005. Michael was the membership chair for two terms with the California Advancement Researchers Association (CARA), where during his tenure membership went from 165 to 300.  He is currently serving his third term on the board for APRA in the position of President-Elect. Michael served three terms on the Stephens College Alumnae Board. He has been a speaker for APRA, CASE, AHP and taught at the College of Extended Learning at Cal State Northridge in prospect research and prospect management. Michael is a recipient of the 2004 CARA Service Award and the 2007 Stephens College Alumnae Service Award.

Mr. Quevli is the 2011 APRA International President Elect.  The 2011 APRA International conference will be in Austin, Texas in July.
