Get To Know About Our APRA Chapter, Its Mission and History

The Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement Greater Houston (AGH) was founded as a chapter of APRA International in 1988. Research was done very differently in 1988. Online resources were becoming more the norm but there were numerous print resources and CD-ROMs utilized to perform this work. The founders of APRA Greater Houston knew there was a need to support the community of fundraisers with the benefits that such an organizaition could provide.

Today, AGH provides support and education for its membership as well as networking opportunities. Fundraising is a labor intensive effort. Fundraising resources and techniques change regularly. AGH members are treated to webinars, workshops, and the opportunity to have dialog with colleagues working in the same field.
